Privacy Policy

This policy explains what AI Chat Skin processes locally, what limited information is processed when you purchase Pro, and what we never collect.
Effective date: July 21, 2026

1. Extension data

AI Chat Skin stores theme selections, colors, transparency, blur, typography, layout preferences, custom CSS, and compressed user-selected wallpapers in chrome.storage.local on your device. These settings are not uploaded to us.

2. What we do not collect

  • Prompts, replies, chat history, or conversation content
  • Passwords, authentication cookies, or AI account credentials
  • Browsing history outside the explicitly supported AI websites
  • Advertising identifiers or cross-site tracking profiles

3. Website and purchase data

When Pro sales begin, Paddle will process checkout, payment, tax, invoicing, fraud-prevention, and buyer-support information as Merchant of Record. Paddle's own privacy policy governs data it processes in checkout.

To fulfill and maintain a Pro license, we may receive and retain the minimum necessary records: customer email, Paddle customer and transaction identifiers, purchased product, license status, refund status, activation timestamps, and a pseudonymous device identifier. A one-time trial stores hashed installation and network identifiers plus its start and expiry time to limit abuse. The extension sends license requests only to our own service and does not upload theme settings, wallpapers, custom CSS, or conversation content. We do not receive or store full card details.

4. Purpose and retention

Purchase records are used only to deliver, validate, support, refund, or revoke licenses; prevent abuse; and meet legal accounting obligations. Records are kept only as long as reasonably required for these purposes.

5. Sharing and security

We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be processed by Paddle and infrastructure providers only where necessary to operate checkout, licensing, email delivery, security, and hosting. Data is transmitted over HTTPS and access is limited to operational needs.

6. Your choices

You can reset an individual site profile from the extension. Uninstalling the extension removes its Chrome-managed local storage. For questions, corrections, or deletion requests relating to purchase records, contact vange9588@outlook.com.
